ASOHNS Website Update

We hope that you all find the newly upgraded website easier to navigate, use and make contributions.

First, when you logon, there will be a request to upgrade your details. We would appreciate if you could check and add to your details especially if you practise in several locations.

There is an opportunity to add a photo of yourself. This is optional, however the more photos we have the easier it is to place a name with a face, especially for new members.

The home page has headlines for news items, a regular space for a message from the President and the ASOHNS office staff.

It is planned to publish interesting case studies on a regular basis. These can be submitted to entdob@bigpond.com for publication on the site. There will be room for scans, clinical photos, all de-identified. These will be archived automatically after one month but still accessible.

There has always been a discussion page on the site. It has rarely been used if at all! It is hoped that the case studies will promote active discussion.

The calendar has a more active function and is linked to upcoming events.

'Find a Surgeon” function is important for all of us as it is open to the public.

We plan to broadcast an email when new items are posted on our site. Our New Zealand colleagues use this to great advantage. You have a choice to opt out of this function if so desired.
