About the Course
The course is aimed at practising Surgeons and Registrars. both Plastic and ENT surgeons are welcome.
The sessions are both lectures and dissection. The morning is devoted to approach and the afternoon to refinement.
Areas to be Covered
- Anatomy and anatomical variations relevant to rhinoplastic surgery
- Instrumentation required in rhinoplasty
- Preparation and pre-op planning
- Facial aesthetics
- Open and closed rhinoplasty exposure
- Osteotomy techniques in rhinoplasty
- Nasal tip surgery
- Endoscopic turbinoplasty and maintaining the nasal airway
- Post-operative care and management
Faculty
All members of the Faculty have wide experience in the management of cosmetic and functional nasal surgery including rhinoplastic techniques. They are actively involved in teaching and research.
| Dr George Marcells Director of Bondi Junction Private Hospital. He is a US Board exam certified facial plastic surgeon and has an extensive experience in rhinoplasty. |
| Dr Tobias Pincock Has completed a certified US facial plastic fellowship having worked with international leaders in open rhinoplastic techniques. |
| Dr Elias Moisidis Chair of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at St Vincent's Hospital. He has a sub-specialty interest in nasal reconstruction. |
| Dr Paul Gerarchi Board exam certified with the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. He is in private practice, The Face Institute, and specialises in functional, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery of the nose and face. |
| A/Prof. Richard Harvey A dual fellowship trained rhinologist with a specialist nose, sinus and skull base practice. He also serves on the editorial boards for American Journal of Rhinology and Rhinology journal. |
