Endoscopic Orbital Workshop

This course is aimed at practising Surgeons and Registrars. Both ophthalmologists and ENT surgeons are welcome. The morning will be devoted to lectures and discussions. The afternoon session will be spent in the dissection laboratory. Faculty: Dr Ray Sacks, Dr Richard Gallagher, Dr Richard Harvey. All three members of the Faculty have wide experience in managing sinus disease and endoscopic surgical techniques. They are actively involved in teaching and research.

Areas to be covered:

  1. Anatomy and anatomical variations relevant to DCR & Orbital surgery
  2. Instrumentation required for DCR / Orbital surgery
  3. Preparation and preop planning
  4. Endoscopic DCR
  5. Endoscopic Orbital decompression
  6. Endoscopic Optic nerve decompression
  7. Prevention and management of Endoscopic complications
  8. Postoperative care and management

 

Faculty:

Ray Sacks is Associate Professor of Rhinology at Sydney and Macquarie Universities and has extensive experience in endoscopic DCR.

Richard Gallagher is an endoscopic and head & neck surgeon involved in all levels of endoscopic training in Australia.

Richard Harvey is a fellowship trained rhinologist with a specialist nose & sinus practice. He also serves on the editorial board for Rhinology journal.

 

Registration Fees:

Surgeons:  $500.00 (incl. GST)

Registrars:  $350.00 (incl. GST)

Non Dissectors:  $150.00 (incl. GST)
