The Event:
Boomrock 2010 is a two-day ORL meeting aimed at combining work with play. The academic program is led by world leaders in each of their respective fields.
Professor Peter John Wormald is Professor of Otolaryngology at Adelaide and Flinders University, Australia. Through his basic science and clinical research he has redefined the approach to the management of sinus and skull base diseases.
Professor Stephen Park is Director of Facial Plastics Surgery at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, USA. He has quickly become a world authority on various aspects of facial plastic surgery.
Dr Steven Floreani specialises in Sinus, Skull Base and Facial-plastic surgery. In particular, he has an interest in Functional and Cosmetic Rhinoplasty.
The program will therefore focus on elements of the latest advances in basic science, techniques and clinical trials in these fields.
March 16th - Live Surgery Option
There is an additional option of observing live surgery the day prior which will include various cases of facial plastic, sinus and skull based surgery.
Social
The extreme entertainment is also a component of the Boomrock resort. This year we will be offering rally car driving and the option to fly your own helicopter. Additionally there will be archery, extreme golf, skeet shooting all taking place at the top of a 200m cliff overlooking Kapiti and the South Island. this is limited to a maximum of 40 people.
Broomrock, situated 25 minutes from Wellington in the Ohariu Valley, this premium retreat is an ideal spot to work and play.
Cost:
NZ$1,600 inc GST - includes transfers to and from Wellington, lodge, afternoon teas, lunches and dinner on Wednesday night, as well as all activities at Boomrock.
Optional: Helicopter fight transfers from Queens Wharf Wellington to Boomrock at NZ$144 per day.
