About ASOHNS
ASOHNS is the representative organisation for Ear Nose and Throat Head and Neck Surgeons in Australia, and dates from 1950.
ASOHNS Members are Specialist Surgeons who investigate and treat conditions of the ear, nose, throat, and head and neck, such as:
- nasal and sinus conditions
- snoring and breathing problems
- tonsillitis
- cancer of the throat, voice problems
- plastic surgery of the nose and face
- hearing difficulties and deafness
- tumours of the head, neck and ears
ASOHNS, with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, provides a nationwide Training Programme for future Ear Nose and Throat-Head and Neck Surgeons
Continuing Professional Development resources for Members include an Annual Scientific Meeting as well as regular lectures, seminars and workshops and an audio-visual lending library.
ASOHNS publishes the ‘Australian Journal of Otolaryngology’ and a newsletter "Australian Otolaryngology".
