The Organising Committee of the Australian Ottawa conference “Ozzawa 2008” would like to invite you to Melbourne, Australia in March 2008. The Conference will be organised by a group comprising representatives from all Australian and New Zealand Medical Schools.
Why Australia?
With recent rapid developments in interest in Medical Education, from undergraduate to continuing, Australia is currently a huge consumer of international medical graduates. Its undergraduate courses rely heavily on student centred learning methods and, as befits the largest island in the world, there is intense interest in rural and remote healthcare delivery.
“Australia,” as Bill Bryson said, “is a country where interesting things happen, and all the time. It is the only island that is also a continent and the only continent that is also a country…. It contains the longest straight stretch of railroad track in the world (297 miles), as well as the world's largest monolith (the majestic Uluru) and largest living thing (the Great Barrier Reef).”
Why Melbourne?
Melbourne is one of the most ‘liveable' cities on the planet, hosts the largest University in
the southern hemisphere, espouses a multicultural ethos and offers an unparalleled range of downtown accommodation from ultra-budget to 6 star boutique hotels. From fine dining and shopping, an impressive offering of arts and culture, unforgettable sights and sounds and botanic delights, you'll find it all in Melbourne. Or discover Victoria's breathtaking natural scenery, spectacular coastal views, fascinating Aboriginal heritage and delightful wildlife.
Make the decision and plan to come to Melbourne, Australia in March 2008.
